Welcome to The Road to Broadway Mini Dance Competition
We are a no-frills, no bells and whistles, and very affordable dance competition for all.
No huge trophies, or cash awards, or very expensive venue.
Our philosophy is all about educating the dancers. It's very nice to receive awards, for a job well done, but when a judge can pass on advice that helps the dancers improve, and become the best that they can be, that's what it is all about!

The Road to Broadway Mini Dance Competition is different than other dance competitions, as fees are very low, but the judging staff will always be top notch, highly trained people in the dance education industry.
We don't give out big, expensive trophies, or cash prizes. We have a very, humble space. It is for 2 reasons. 1st, the space that we rent gives money to the local, volunteer fire company and it is low cost, in comparison to most other competitions. The 2nd reason is to keep costs down for competitors.
We give out small trophies, medals, ribbons and certificates, as a part of our effort to keep costs down.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see awards.
Our prices are 1/2 to 1/3 of the price of many big competitions. We give the same quality in judging, which is the main reason for a competition. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but we always promise quality, and fair judging. No studio will ever gain favor over another for bringing in more dancers.
This competition does not give away high scores to everyone, unless truly earned. It is probably the toughest competition that you will ever enter. Platinum is awarded; but it is within 2 points of a perfect score. Other, adjudicated awards are Gold, Silver and Bronze. In addition to adjudicated awards, ordinals (1st, 2nd and 3rd) are awarded in all categories with three or more acts entered.
After each act, only one judge will give a 30-second, verbal critique, (judges will take turns), to each act as they do on the TV show, So You Think You Can Dance. The score sheets will have notes from all of the judges.
The R2B Mini Dance Competition is a 2-day event, that is held at the East Greenville Fire Company Social Hall. The floor, though not a Marley type floor, is a good, wooden, gymnasium type, dance floor for all types of dances, with no splinters. Rosin is supplied, if needed.
Additionally, we have two, professional photographers, and all photographs are free to the studios and dancers.
If you are interested in being a part of this event, and do not mind all of your students not automatically walking away with super high award, or big, expensive trophies and cash prizes, and you wish to have them learn that hard work is what will earn them high scores, then please visit the rest of this site for more information. Thank you.
